Counseling Office
Western‘s Counseling office is a great starting point for students in need of help. Whether the issue is a mental health issue, such as anxiety, depression, or suicidal thoughts; or a situational problem such as relationship, academic, or financial stress, help is available. The counseling office employs a licensed counselor who can provide mental health support and services in an on-campus setting free of charge to students.
In some cases, students may be referred to a local counseling center that provides on-going therapy services.
Confidentiality
Information disclosed to the counselor is kept confidential and would only be released in the following circumstances:

- as required by law (suspected physical or sexual abuse or neglect of a child or incapacitated adult, if you appear to be a threat to yourself or someone else);
