How Do I Apply?

High school students from Altus, Hollis, Olustee - Eldorado, Snyder, and Tipton are eligible to apply for the WOSC Upward Bound Program.Ìý Students interested in participating in the Upward Bound Program must apply during the month of September.Ìý The WOSC Upward Bound application is available to download from the link provided below,Ìýat your high school counselor's office, orÌýthe Upward Bound office.ÌýÌýÌý

As part of the selection process, an individual meetingÌýwith the prospective student and parent/guardian is required,Ìýcurrent documentation to verify family income, and a recommendation letter from a teacher, counselor,Ìýor teacher.Ìý

Eligibility Requirements:

To become a participant in the Upward Bound Program, students must:

  • Meet first generation requirements (your parents have not graduated from college with a four-year/Bachelor's Degree) AND/OR
  • Meet income requirements OR
  • Have high academic need

Selected students must also demonstrate theÌýABILITY to succeed in high school and have a strong desire to attend and GRADUATE from a four-year college.
